Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Soul is ever youthful, never tired and always in search of eternal happiness. In it's futile effort for eternal happiness it keeps chasing things, beings and situations. In the process it gets more bruised because every flower comes with a thorn, that eternal search for happiness ends in a black hole as long as it looks for happiness in things ,beings and situations ! Whatever few memories of happiness it has that also wanes in the continuum of time and space. Because things ,beings and situations that are limited in time and space can always give limited happiness. So the search for eternal ,limitless happiness is like running after a mirage in this world of limitations.
This painting is inspired by my thoughts in solitude and influenced by Hindu philosophy.
